    MY PREGNANCY DIARY

Stanley and I are expecting our first baby, and the due date is already in 2 months!

We both love children, that’s why it was easier for us to step into newborn and baby photography.

We’re surrounded by so many nieces and nephews, we couldn’t wait to start our own little family. We honestly could’ve started right after getting married 3 years ago, but this year was perfect timing. No matter how much I try to plan my life, it turns out like it was always meant to.

2019 will be the year that I spent its majority being pregnant with my first.

I was a bridesmaid for two of my friends at the start of the year. I knew there was a possibility of me being pregnant, so I decided to be alcohol-free and just wait to test after the weddings. Looking back now, there were early signs like getting ”car sick” in the limo.

In my first trimester, I struggled to keep my eyes open after editing only a couple of photos. I‘ve never been the type of person who takes naps, but my body was fighting me for them. I feel so lucky to have a stay at home career, where my bedroom is right next to my home office.

I started nesting in my second trimester, which I didn’t even realise was a thing until reading about it afterwards. It’s when a pregnant woman feels the need to prepare the house before the baby arrives. I sent this article, men's guide to nesting in pregnancy to Stan to explain my crazy behaviour. I emptied out all the cupboards to clean and reorganise. I rearranged the furniture in every single room.

I also decided to revamp my whole website, and start this blog. This wasn't exactly nesting like making the house baby-friendly, but it is similar in that I am mentally preparing for a busy life as a mother.

Something about an upcoming baby, makes me think ”If I don’t do it now, I won’t have the time to do it later”.

Now that I’m into my third trimester, I‘m feeling the need to document more of my baby bump. It’s winter in Australia, so my bump is always covered in jumpers and jackets. These photos came from a mini photoshoot I asked Stan to organise for my birthday. He told me what to wear and how to pose, which is usually my forte.
